Hi Ameena, I had made a comment weeks ago that I was travelling the VdLP about 1 week behind you.

Several of our photos are almost identical. Yes the industrial walk into Ourense was dreary and long, we did it in sweltering heat.

I too had leaky boots by this point and there was so much rain! That was something that I had not expected.

I am really enjoying your blog, will you be on another camino adventure once you are vaccinated and things open up?

Hi Debbie, yes I remember! Thank for the link to your own blog, will take a look :) It really was so dreary, such terrible timing to attempt a long walk haha. I didn't expect so much rain either, and expected way more heat than what we actually got - it turned out better this way though even with the rain I think, too much heat probably would've done me in!

I absolutely will be off on another one, my intention was to spend a week or so on a short Camino for my birthday last year - maybe I can do the same this year as I'll have until September for things to hopefully open up. Fingers crossed! I'm also very keen to do the Kungsleden in Sweden, do you know it?

Thank you again for following along and commenting! x

Yes, do! I came across it last year and it's gone straight on to my list. Dreaming about walking somewhere like that, I think that one might have to be first! There's a diary by adventurer Anna Blackwell here that was a great read: https://annablackwell.co.uk/blog?category=Kungsleden x

thanks, I have now bookmarked Anna's blog. Unlikely I will get to Sweden myself so I will be an armchair traveler thru the blog reading.
